Land Rover Celebrates Double Success At New Car Awards
The 2022 Auto Express awards were a tremendous occasion for Land Rover, who received two prestigious awards. Both the New Range Rover and the New Defender were crowned victorious over their competitors, a wonderful achievement for both luxury SUV models.
The judges from Britain’s best-selling automotive magazine named the Land Rover Defender the Best Large Premium SUV at the awards ceremony in London, while the Range Rover was crowned Best Luxury Car.
As an annual celebration of the finest cars on the market, the Auto Express awards aim to inform prospective buyers of their best options on the roads.
The All-New Fifth Generation Range Rover was launched earlier this year, creating a whole new meaning of the word luxury. The breathtaking model is the definition of modernity, thanks to its unmatched capabilities and stunning technological advancements. With this model, there is more versatility than ever before thanks to four, five or seven-seat interiors across Long Wheelbase or Standard body designs. The stunning SUV is also available with a selection of powertrains, including the extended-range plug-in hybrid (PHEV), which produces CO2 emissions as low as 18g/km and up to 70 miles of all-electric range.

The Land Rover Defender has consistently wowed judges and has claimed the title of Best Large Premium SUV for the second year in a row. It is a model known for being unstoppable and wholly capable of tackling tough terrains. This level of capability is all thanks to Land Rover’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (IAWD) system. The new Defender 130 has an extended body for even greater interior space, allowing for up to eight seats.
The Defender has collected a string of coveted honours since its launch, including World Car Design of the Year at the 2021 World Car Awards.
